Telsa CEO Elon Musk doubled down on his promise to help dial back on the size and scope of government should former President Donald Trump win a second term.
The Trump call to “drain the swamp” has been a common refrain since he first ran for the White House in 2016. Posting on his X platform on Wednesday, Musk wrote “I can’t wait. There is a lot of waste and needless regulation in government that needs to go.”
Musk was responding to a report that indicated Trump was looking to Musk to help be a part of a proposed “government efficiency commission” that would aim to audit federal agencies and identify which programs and personnel to cut.
